This Reference quality Universal Blu-ray Player will play nearly all types of Discs: BD, DVD, CD, as well as SACD and DVD-Audio. And on each and every medium, the performance is superb - designed to withstand even the most challenging tests by the most critical of video- and audiophiles. The UD9004 will give you state-of-the-art quality in both audio and video. And build quality is nothing short of breathtaking. It starts with the very heavy loading mechanism, equipped with a rigid aluminium tray to eliminate distortion caused by unwanted vibrations. A copper-plated chassis ensures maximum cabinet stability and a high quality power supply feeding only the analogue audio boards with clean current, all using a Toroidal transformer and customized capacitors. The circuitry uses the famous Marantz HDAM-SA2’s for all channels, ensuring fast, precise and large bandwidth signal amplification. Dual HDMI outputs makes it possible to send a dedicated video, as well as a dedicated audio signal to their output source, minimize the deleterious effect on the audio and video - and reducing the signal degradation by having a shorter route and less processing. Further on the video side, the UD9004 makes use of Silicon Realta Optix HQV processing technology, derived from professional broadcast technologies. True 10-bit processing is utilised for detail enhancement, noise reduction, pixel to pixel film mode detection, de-interlacing and scaling. The resulting picture from DVD and Blu-ray is simply astonishing.
